Welcome to MarLoWin Miniature American Shepherds! I'm Tina Winston, and along with my husband Stephen, we raise our dogs on 15 peaceful acres just outside Owensboro, Kentucky. Our journey began with a Miniature Australian Shepherd named Marlow, the inspiration behind our kennel name. What started as a love for one special dog grew into a lifelong passion for these intelligent, loyal, and versatile companions. Today, we're proud to be an AKC Breeder of Merit, dedicated to raising Miniature American Shepherds with an emphasis on health, temperament, sound structure, and the qualities that make this breed such an exceptional family companion.

At MarLoWin, breeding is about much more than producing beautiful puppies. We carefully consider health testing, pedigrees, temperament, structure, and movement when planning our litters. Our dogs are beloved members of our family, not simply breeding dogs. They live in our home, share our daily lives, and enjoy opportunities to participate in conformation shows and performance events. We're especially proud of our AKC Champion Miniature American Shepherds, including dogs that have earned recognition at the MASCUSA National Specialty. Our dogs also participate in activities such as Fast CAT, Rally, Agility, and Scent Work, demonstrating the intelligence, athleticism, and versatility we love about the breed.

Our Miniature American Shepherd puppies are born and raised in our home, where they receive daily attention, handling, and exposure to everyday sights, sounds, and experiences. We believe early socialization and thoughtful puppy development help provide a strong foundation for life with their new families. We believe responsible breeding begins with informed decisions. Our breeding program includes genetic health screening and orthopedic evaluations appropriate for our dogs. We make individual health testing information available so prospective families can learn about the dogs behind their future puppies. Health, temperament, and overall quality are central to our breeding decisions.

Brody has completed a full genetic health panel, testing clear for all conditions except carrying one copy each of PRA and NAD. He has also undergone OFA evaluations for his hips, patellas, and elbows.

He was awarded Winners Dog under Judge Merle Taylor at the SEMASC Pre-Show, followed by Winners Dog, Best of Winners, and Best Puppy under Judge Nannette Newbury

We lost Addison in 2024, just one week before the MASCUSA National Specialty, where Chase went on to earn Winners Dog, Best of Winners, and Best Puppy. Those accomplishments made an emotional week especially memorable.
Addison held a special place in our hearts, and her memory remains an important part of the MarLoWin story.
